Siwei is an Instructor in Dr. Benjamin Neale’s lab at ATGU and the Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT. Prior to joining the ATGU, Siwei earned her Ph.D. in Computational Biology from Cornell University, where her dissertation focused on identifying and interpreting disease mutations in the human protein interactome. Siwei is broadly interested in studying the genetic basis of human diseases, and her current research focuses on developing interpretable statistical methods for discovering disease-causing mutations with clinical implications. As the lead analyst of the Epi25 Collaborative and the International League Against Epilepsy Consortium (ILAE) on Complex Epilepsies, Siwei plays a major role in large-scale genetic association studies of epilepsy.
