Dennis Lal, PhD
Dennis is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard as well as the MGH, mentored by Prof. Aarno Palotie. Overall, he is interested in the the genetic architecture brain disorders. In his current project, he investigates the distribution of common vs. rare genetic risk factors in the largest migraine family study to date. Dennis obtained his PhD in genetics at the University of Cologne, Germany. He was and still is involved in several European and worldwide acting epilepsy consortia, which aim to decipher the genetics of common and rare epilepsies. In these studies he performed genome-wide case vs. control SNV and CNV analysis as well as linkage analysis for familiar neurodevelopmental disorders.
